During a visit to Accra, Ghana, Tamara Yolanda visited the village of Akim Asafo Primary/Junior School in Ghana. During her visit she learned about the disadvantages both the school and students faced. Educational resources were very limited and scarce.
The students had no access to general school supplies including books, pencils, and paper. Students have to endure improvised classroom conditions that are even more challenging during rainy days. The classrooms are open block bases with inadequate seating for students. Teachers have to write lessons on scribbled walls, and worn chalkboards. Although such conditions make the learning environment challenging to learn, the students are very optimistic.
TopHill Entertainment Inc adopted the local village school vowing to help assist with resources and accommodations to help ensure students would have access to better learning conditions.
